All paints and finishes used are non-toxic, making it safe for children. The bunk bed is suitable for dolls up to 20 inches, including 18-inch dolls like American Girl, My Life As, Madame Alexander, and Our Generation. It also fits 15-inch American Girl Bitty Baby dolls and 14.5-inch American Girl WellieWishers dolls.

The clearance between bunks is 6.5 inches between the bottom and middle, and 6 inches between the middle and top. The single bed has dimensions of 22 inches in length, 12 inches in width, and 8.5 inches in height, with a clearance of 3.25 inches off the floor.

The interior of the beds measures 20.5 inches in length and 10.25 inches in width. The baskets are 6.5 inches in width, 10 inches in length, and 2.75 inches in height. The padded mats are 21 inches in length and 10.25 inches in width, while the pillows are 6 inches in length, 4 inches in width, and 1 inch in height. The frame of the bunk bed can be wiped clean, and the fabric bedding can be spot cleaned, hand washed, or machine washed. The baskets are recommended to be spot cleaned.
